Mattie Marguerite Martinez is an artist whose work spans through a variety of creatives modes of expression.

With over ten years of formal education and practical experience in the art and design world, she has developed a strong foundation in her craft. For the past four years, Mattie has served as an art director and designer in the branding industry, focusing on building and developing brand strategies, visual identities, and social media strategies. She has worked on a diverse range of projects across industries such as food and beverage, hospitality, wellness, and art. Throughout her career, she has lived and collaborated in major cities including London, New York, Chicago, Mexico City, and Los Angeles. 

Her works in fine art often explore the boundaries between deeply personal experiences and collective memories. Works often pose questions about the construction and deconstruction of the mind and the existence of being. The creative process is an ongoing investigation of intangible concepts that effect our subconscious such as dreams, the essence of memories, time and space. Often, artifacts are extracted and collected from specific locations and reimagined and reinterpreted through their own history and origins. The results of each process exists in a state of ever-changing perceptions - they become layered - abstract fragments and interpretations of fossilized moments in time.
